Kevin Bandel is a freelance cellist residing in Manhattan Beach, California. He performs in Orchestra Santa Monica, and other local groups, including musical productions and church concerts. He also serves as Orchestra Santa Monica’s librarian and gives private cello lessons. Another avenue for his teaching is being a teacher’s assistant for Jazz Hands for Autism.

Bandel earned his Artist Diploma in cello performance at the Glenn Gould School of the Royal Conservatory of Music, studying with Desmond Hoebig and Andres Diaz.  He received an Artist Diploma in orchestral studies with the San Francisco Academy Orchestra studying with Amos Yang, and his Bachelor of Music degree in cello performance at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music studying with Jennifer Culp.

Outside of music, he is a serious gamer that participates in competitive level Super Smash Brothers Melee.
